Parents and students,

I hope everyone has had a great summer so far!  Here’s some helpful info and reminders as we start ramping up for 2026-2027.   Probably the most important 2 things are listed under ‘UPDATES from the Directors’ –  1. Band Camp at a Glance  &  2. Order Bandwear by July 17.

Another item of importance is the Band Member Registration form that was due on June 1st.  Please fill it out if you have not (students only).  As of today, only 128 people have filled it out and with rosters unavailable on Infinite Campus, this is the only means of emailing you hence the additional posting on Slack, Facebook, and website of this update.  Please take a look and see if you’re there (if you didn’t get the email, that’s a pretty good sign).  FYI, parents have this email if their son/daughter registered and entered contact info for you.  REGISTRATION AS OF JULY 10. • Bandwear orders due July 17 (link in announcements above)

• Join Slack and make sure you’re in the specific instrument channels (student leadership or staff can assist with this).  Our new district communication app is on the way but we have to use our existing app in the meantime through band camp.

• Please take a look at the SUMMER 26 Announcements listed above.  EVERY date and time you need to know is listed.

Band Wear can be ordered by going to the WASHBURN RURAL HIGH SCHOOL ONLINE STORE sign-up today! 

Band Wear is the secondary outfit and underlying garments the band wears with their uniforms. These are ordered in July and delivered at the end of August.  The items each student needs will depend on which ensemble he or she is in.  Clarification below:

Marching Band (*required items -not needed if in Colorguard)

• Black Band Gloves - (Do not order if percussion or guard)
